The Oil of the Valley of the Temples
The Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento has entrusted the ancient olive trees of the park and the promotion and marketing of the oil obtained under the brand Diodoros to the care of Val Paradiso.
The Oil of the Valley is an exclusive project to develop culture and civilization in Sicily; the olive groves tended by us are real living monuments and represent a historical asset, part of the heritage of humanity, full of institutional and symbolic values related to the olive tree and its fruit.
Diodoros is a high quality extra virgin oil, as attested by the numerous prizes and awards obtained in national competitions reserved for oils of great prestige:

The Diodoros brand is a tribute to Diodorus Siculus, historian of Greek Agyrion (today Agira-Sicilia) and author of a universal history, the Bibliotheca Historica, which says of the territory of Akragas:
At that time, the city and the territory of Akragas lived in a condition of great well-being…There were vineyards of exceptional size and beauty, and most of the land was covered with olive trees, whose abundant production was destined for the Carthaginian trade…

Diodoros is Extra Virgin oil produced from the olive trees that adorn the enchanting Valley of the Temples in Agrigento between the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Concord and the remains of Akragas.
The oil of the Valley is the result of an agreement between theArchaeological Park and the Val Paradiso mill, which has been entrusted exclusively with the harvesting and pressing of olives and the bottling of the oil under the Diodoros brand.
